Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. Her research focuses on Demographic Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Economics. She has contributed to both teaching and research projects on population dynamics, labor markets, and MSME digitalization.
Neha Jain is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. She completed her PhD and MPhil in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, focusing on the economic consequences of demographic changes and skill development in India. Her research broadly covers Demographic Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Economics. Neha has previously taught at Delhi University, including Keshav Mahavidyalaya and NCWEB, and has contributed as a content writer for UGC-funded e-learning projects for MA (Business Economics).
Her work includes several publications and working papers examining India’s demographic dividend, economic growth, and digitalization of MSMEs. Notably, she has co-authored research on international trade participation, child sex ratios, and demographic change in India, which have appeared in journals and on SSRN. She has also served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator for research projects commissioned by PayPal India and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
Neha has actively participated in national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars, presenting her research on economic modeling, population, and development. She has been recognized with multiple awards including the Third Best Paper Award at RSFE 2022 and the CFA Institute Asia-Pacific Research Exchange Best Paper Award in 2020. She is proficient in MS Excel, Stata, and Spectrum software for data analysis and econometric modeling, and is fluent in English and Hindi.
