International Trade and investment arethe two sides of a coin and the intricate relationship between these two important factors has evolved over time with the growing global value chains. Now the question is not anymore whether to trade or invest, but rathera combination of trade-investment-partnership. There are many facets of trade and investment, starting with the firm strategies to policy considerations at the aggregate level which have become important in the past two decades. We encourage to conduct research on various trade and investment issues, considering the regional agreements, spillovers of knowledge and technology, Multinational Companies (MNCs) in GVCs, and so on to bring out important policy implications, focusing on India.
