A graduate of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Prof. Manoj Pant completed his M.A. from the Delhi School of Economics 1973- 1975 and taught economics in Delhi University till 1979. He completed Ph.D. from the Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA, 1979-1982. From 1985.
He was a faculty member of the Centre for International Trade and Development, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and Professor of Economics and Dean, School of International Studies, JNU till Sept. 2017. In Sept. 2017, he was selected as Director and Vice Chancellor, Indian institute of Foreign Trade and completed his term in Nov. 2022. He has also been a guest lecturer in business schools of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, IIFT, Delhi, University of Lucerne, Switzerland and a visiting Fulbright scholar at the Dept. of Economics, Columbia University, Massachusetts, USA.
Prof. Pant has about 40 publications in international referred journals and four books. Apart from his academic pursuits, Prof. Pant has spoken extensively at various public forums of organizations like UNCTAD, OXFAM and other non-governmental organizations on issues relating to trade negotiations, investment and competition policy. He has been an expert member of a number of committees in the Ministry of Commerce, consultant on trade issues in the Planning Commission, Chairman of the Project Review Committee, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research etc. Prof. Pant also writes extensively on Economic Policy issues in, The Economic Times, Financial Express and Mint Business papers. In 2017, he was conferred the Kautilya award for Economics for the year 2017 by the Uttar Pradesh Economics Association. In April 2022 he received the Distinguished Alumnus award from the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University
His fields of interest are International Trade Theory, Foreign Investment, Competition Policy and the WTO.
Naushad Ali Azad was professor of economics at JamiaMilliaIslamia (Central University), New Delhi. He did his graduation from KM College (Delhi University), MSc (Stats) &MA (Eco) from AMU Aligarh and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi besides a PG Diploma in Planning from erstwhile SGPiS, Warsaw (Poland).
He has more than 40 years’ experience of teaching and research with a focus on Trade and Investment aspects of International Economic Relations. He is member of the general body of National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) under notification of Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and Government of India. (File 4/3/2013-Invt. dated 7th January 2014). In an outreach program, Prof Azad delivered lectures and conducted workshops for Ministry of Construction, Government of Vietnam on Sustainable Urban Development, Global Economic Crisis and Issues in Competitiveness.

Post-Graduate in Mathematical Statistics from Lucknow University (1968) and MCA, has more than four decades of experience in Information Technology, Socio-economic research, large scale sample surveys and teaching/training information technology.
Mr Beg retired as Joint Director (Information Technology) from Rural Electrification Corporation, New Delhi after 30 years of service. He was founder member of Information Technology Department in the Corporation. He was responsible for management of Information Technology Department, handling of software development projects and their implementation, software/hardware procurement, IT training. Successfully designed, developed & implemented computer based systems for project appraisal/monitoring and financial applications of the Corporation. After retirement from the services of the Corporation on 30th Sept 03, Mr.Beg was involved in academic activities at JamiaMillia University, New Delhi and MakhanLalChaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication, NOIDA Campus for more than 10 years. He taught various topics of Information technology both at graduate and postgraduate level.
